This course addresses sports analytics, messaging, and social engagement across all sports (amateur, collegiate, professional) and the role of sports in American society. It also explores issues of social engagement and globalization in modern sports. Students will examine the stereotypes, misconceptions, and social elements of a changing sports landscape through reading, Discussion, experiential learning, theoretical examination, policy analysis and development, and role-play.
